Stephen Johnson Framing was founded in 1981 by Stephen Johnson himself. With over four decades in the plastics fabrication industry and thirty years of dedicated fine arts practice in painting, he worked tirelessly to establish one of Florida's premier frame shops. Today, the business is renowned for its relentless dedication to exceptional quality and its deep-rooted fine arts ethos.

Beyond transforming his expertise as an artist and craftsman into a legacy of fine frame-making, Johnson also created a vibrant environment for artists at Studio 1608. This sprawling, loft-style studio and gallery space has hosted and curated numerous exhibitions throughout his career.

A husband and father of three, Stephen Johnson is a dedicated community member who supports organizations such as the Bak Middle School of the Arts, Eg2 (a community for young artists), and Dyer Park. Known as a "go-getter" among his peers, he enjoys mountain biking, surfing, and practicing botany.
